Do you like Elvis? Do you like good food and lots of fun? If so, make plans to come to the commons area of LaVega High School on Saturday, September 10. Our Adult Choir is hosting a “Southern Style Luau” and an “Evening with Elvis”, featuring Johnny Memphis, an Elvis Tribute Artist. When Johnny performs, fans cry, cheer, and dance. He can adjust his voice to sing 1950's, 60's and 70's Elvis tunes equally well. Johnny's "Elvis By Request Show" is a classic old time Rock and Roll experience, filled with patriotism, wholesome entertainment and thrills that will take you back in time. Johnny has a deep respect for Elvis, his legacy, and his music. He does not try to be Elvis, but instead, he lets the audience experience the energy, emotion, and humor that Elvis put into his performances, without over exaggerating as so many of the Elvis "wannabes". It’s a real show with genuine credibility. So many discover Johnny is humble and feels connected with people and adores his fans. The event is to be held on Saturday, September 10, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. in the commons area of LaVega High School, located at 555 N. Loop 340 in Bellmead, Texas. Tickets are $20.00. That includes the meal and the concert. We have some excellent cooks at Sparks! Proceeds benefit the Sparks Memorial United Methodist Church Choir. Space is limited, so be sure and buy tickets soon. To order tickets, please call the church office at (254)799-5124 or Jan Foster Ferguson at (254)424-5102. If you know one of our choir members, they have tickets to sell too.
